Colonial Williamsburg

From: vermonter05655 (vermonter05655@yahoo.com) | Date: 2007-05-17 11:19:14 UTC
Hello,

I just found out this morning that I will be traveling to Williamsburg
VA by bus tomorrow (Friday) to attend a fife and drum tattoo/parade.
I'm staying at the Governor's Inn and won't have a car or much free
time. Does anyone know of boxes hidden close to the park that should
not be missed? I found a few boxes but won't know the distance from
my motel til I get there.

Thanks for any help you can provide. Sorry this is short notice but I
couldn't pass up the adventure.

Creemee

Hi, Creemee - it would help if you told us which park you're referring to.

Sorry to butt in but I'm excited to see what people say here too- I'd
love to go here next summer maybe for our delayed honeymoon! This was
something I was considering becasue I thought there might be a lot of
boxes around!

Wait a minute, you can't throw that out there with no explanation. I
can't be the only one who is completely baffled and wondering what a
tattoo/parade is!!! There are so many thing going through my head and
surely none of them could be correct.

Her Ladyship's imagination has proved worthy of great reading in the past.
What are your thoughts, perchance?
And perhaps they *are* correct!

Hmmm?

Dearest Azobox, Thank you for the kind flattery however her Ladyship
is too embarassed to attempt humor now that her Ladyship has looked up
tattoo in the dictionary. One feels rather stupid.

That said if there ever is a tattoo parade of the sort her Ladyship
was imagining please promise that you would deign to be her Ladyship's
escort, it would be quite interesting....

Dear Lady P,

If you and Sir Azobox ever do find or organize a tattoo parade of the fleshy kind, please let me know. I will be glad to show off all 10 of mine. Many in places that require the removal of a ladys undergarments....good thing I ain't no lady! Woo-hoo!!!

For those still wondering about the use of the word "tattoo" it is applied to the term Military tattoo.

I am back from Williamsburg after a wonderfully dry and sunny trip. I found a letterbox after a wonderfully calming walk from my hotel, the air was full of birdsongs. It was a great start to a fun filled weekend. I am sorry I missed the "tattoo" exchange on the list. Thank you Tony for straightening everyone out, although images conjured up by Lady P. brought a smile to my face.
